Before moving to Houston with her family, Shal practiced at one of Malaysia's largest plastic surgery centers, where she gained extensive experience in medical aesthetics and patient care. After relocating to Houston, she spent more than 15 years helping clients navigate acne and achieve lasting skin confidence. Through her work developing the Clear Skin Protocol at AcneFix, Shal repeatedly saw sun protection products standing in the way of skin progress. Time and time again, clients were investing in their skin while unknowingly using products that worked against their results.

Danielle came to skincare from the other side of the treatment room. Her own experience with hormonal acne made her acutely aware of how difficult it can be to find products that perform beautifully without creating another problem for your skin. What began as conversations about better products became a shared belief that there was room for a new kind of skincare brand - one that combined clinical perspective with the experience, aesthetics and performance expected from modern beauty.
